Le Tour de U.S. 2014 | Day 16

If I thought anyone would read these, i woulda wrote more ...

Left Fargo before 8 am. Couldn't ask for better cycling conditions. Cool morning air, promising warm sun, bike trails as far as anyone dared to go. One such trail made from the bed of an old railway line runs 180 miles. It runs through many small towns along small lakes. No mosquitoes!

This day we did 220km. Originally Alexandria was our target at about 180km. But we found the going easy and decided by lunch that Sauk Centre would be best to cut down on our ride to Miniapolus tomorrow.

I wound up with a slow leaking tire that in the last 20 km required pumping every every 2km. This destroyed my plans for a KOM giving me a 9th place cup. Better luck tomorrow. Need a crown in every state!
