Eureka to Whitefish

Notes from today

  • said our goodbyes to Jim this morning. He's heading north on highway 93 back up to Canada where he will hook up with his brother. Very sad to see Jim go, always good riding together.
  • made a stop at the 'On the Fly Cafe', about 24 KM out of Eureka where we met Steve, a cyclist who is travelling across the USA from east to west. Steve is 66 years old and has been on the road since April.
  • Trevor broke another spoke on his rear wheel a few KM before Whitefish. We stopped at a bike shop when we entered town and Trevor left his bike there to be fixed.
  • we watched "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" this evening at a local theatre. Good flick.

Tomorrow's plan is to ride 155 KM through Glacier National Park to Browning, Montana where we are hoping to meet up with Carl who is riding down from Alberta.

  • vangrath: I saw Dawn of the Planet of the Apes last weekend and thought it was awesome! The trailers made it seem kind of *meh* to me, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it! - posted over 5 years ago
  • Frank Holdem: Vangrath: i completely agree. - posted over 5 years ago
